Key points for identifying new suppliers

Identification of new suppliers on the basis of the following criteria: financial solidity, geographical position, technological capacities, organisation size/structure, potential growth, R & D capacity and sales references. Check the company black list for any embargo.

Qualification and evaluation of suppliers

The qualification of suppliers accepts in substance the guidelines defined at Legrand group level.They are valid for all the units forming the BTicino S.p.A. Company in Italy and apply to the suppliers of materials: raw materials,, components, and finished products and to the suppliers of goods or services.

Purchasing is responsible for the selection of suppliers,while the services rendered are evaluated by the activities of various bodies/functions..

Management of purchasing and contracts

BTicino S.p.A. regulates its collaboration relationships with suppliers by adopting a contractual policy consistent with good sales practices, respecting the charter of competition and the rules of compliance..

Purchasing contracts are thus regulated through the framework contract for the supply of raw materials, semi-worked materials, finished products and workings aimed at production operations and the General tendering conditions.

Purchasing activities

The purchasing process is applied to find the most suitable solutions, so that the associated activities may be carried out in an effective, efficient, transparent and and clear way and above all in full respect of the general directions dictated by the Company, respecting the budget and savings aims and at the same time constituting a reference for the systematic re-evaluation of the purchasing portfolio (products/suppliers).
